Does this disinfect or kill germs?
No, and we won't tell you it does.
Conventional wipes and sprays disinfect using quats — quaternary ammonium compounds. Quats are effective, and they're the reason a label can say "kills 99.9%." They're also the ingredient most of the concern is about.
We don't use them. What this does instead is remove dirt and grime: the film, the crumbs, the dried milk, the sticky. For a high chair tray, a counter, a door handle — that's the actual job.
For raw chicken juice, use hot soapy water and a dedicated approach. We'd rather say that than sell you something on a claim we can't make.
Is the kit EWG Verified?
Not this kit. Our cleaning wipes are officially EWG Verified — they're not part of the Starter Kit.
The concentrate is formulated to EWG standards and verification is in process. The brightening powder hasn't been submitted; all three of its ingredients are EWG A-rated.
